Kate Joins the Queen – and 8,000 Others – for Tea

As for Kate, amid the sound of small bass bands and and some 400 staff members serving the invitees 27,000 cups of tea, 20,000 sandwiches and 20,000 slices of cake, she told guests she was “slightly nervous” about walking into a sea of faces. 

“She congratulated us, and asked me how long I’d been in the RAF,” Gareth Jones, 23, told PEOPLE about Kate’s greeting to him and his brand new bride, Rebecca, just back from their honeymoon in Florida. “She seems to share a lot of empathy and genuine interest in people.”

The christening of Princess Athena Marguerite Françoise Marie of Denmark, 20 May 2012.

Denmark’s new princess is privileged. I refer not primarily to the fact that she is born into the royal family and is to live in a castle.

But I think the fact that she initially has three brothers who want to learn to stand up for her, protect her and also to educate and perhaps spoil her.

Before she even learns the names of her three brothers, she will sense the presence of Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix and the Little Prince Henrik.

Being the youngest in a crowd, she will also be privileged by her parents and grandparents, uncles and aunts and all that may be included by close relatives and friends.

Everyone will do their bit so that she is allowed to grow up like other little girls, surrounded by love and presence.

I am unable to reason with someone who would wear THAT outfit to a royal event where the Queen is. Lawd. I wonder what both the Queen and Kate were thinking when they saw her… They say her husband’s the one that lives the lavish life with 14 WIVES and 24 CHILDREN. I guess she’s the living proof. I’m guessing her friends are Keshia Fabo, Breadquandra, Deltrese, Bon Qui Qui, and Shananay Jenkins. THIS ^ I wonder if she’s wearing the shoes because he made her because of his lavish lifestyle? I think the shoes are the least of the problem of this picture. Personally I think King Mswati III has major problems with the amount of money he spends and the human rights violations that are allowed to happen in his country. There’s even allegations against him that he used public funds to buy a plane! His people only live off a dollar a day! He has had 3 wives flee from the royal compound because of domestic abuse. His sixth just left because she was physically and emotionally abused. One of these poor women even had to leave her children behind. Another of his wives is placed under house arrest, who basically has stated she is a prisoner.  His own daughter, Princess Sikhanyiso, was actually beaten by a royal official after celebrating in the palace for her birthday. She also had a gag order against her for criticizing polygamy and even was in a documentary that focused on the wealth the royals had in Swaziland while the country faced widespread poverty.  Her shoes are still fucking ugly though. Obviously is lifestyle isn’t that lavish if all he can get for his wife is a homemade trailer trash mother of the bride outfit and some stripper heels. If I was the Queen, I would tell her to get the hell out and she can come back when she wears something presentable. That is just not appropriate when visiting the Queen during her Jubilee celebration. It’s pretty disrespectful.

Nobody should EVER criticize Kate’s fashion choices for royal events ever again after seeing this. Unless Kate wears an outfit like this, keep your trap shut. Personally, if I was the Queen, I’d be like “uh, you can come in when you change out of your stripper heels and middle age crisis pageant mom dress.” I also love how they said “fetching feather trimmed heals.” I can just hear Regina telling Gretchen “stop trying to make ‘fetch’ happen.” Also, obviously their life in Swaziland isn’t that lavish if his favorite wife is showing up dressed like she’s at a white trash trailer trash stripper prom.
